Channel 5 (1997)
An early attempt to appeal to the LCD market (Lowest Common-Denominator) from 5. With Paul Ross at the helm and a cast of vagrants, security guards and large-breasted "shop assistants", this was Supermarket Sweep for binge drinkers. With forfeits including downing a can of Special Brew in one or drinking a pint from the cleaner's mop bucket whilst Ross and the audience chanted "Down it goes, up it comes, all good fun on The Bum Run" the show suffered a fitting fate by being cancelled minutes after the first episode aired.
Johnny Hazlewood's theme conjures up the slighty more erudite aroma of The Crystal Maze.
